It was great to see a fantastic attendance of 95 at Keysborough Club to enjoy today's function.?Our Vets club was established in 1949, and some 73 years have passed where we have seen passionate golfers, with both men and ladies playing various courses once a month to enjoy fellowship in a friendly and competitive competition.
The CoM were thanked by Roger for their contribution throughout the year in the running of successful tournaments which were attended well by members.?
The Life members Ray Underwood, David Vine, Daryl Edwards, Ray Desmond and Jeff Taylor were thanked for their previous service to the Vets Club.
No club can exist without sponsors, Innes Ireland from House of Golf and David Heraud of Jimmy's Jams were thanked for their support.
The members wives, partners and guests were welcomed, along with our special guest for the luncheon Pat MacDonald.
A moment of reflection to remember our past members who have enjoyed this sport and who have contributed to the Vets club.?This year we lost Donald MacDonald who was a Life Member, who had served as Vice Captain, Captain and President of our Club. His brogue, humour and wit will be sadly missed.
Our thoughts go out to our members who currently have health issues. Great to see Chris Tierney in attendance after being in hospital 12 days ago.
The Keysborough Golf Club provided a very delicious luncheon which everyone enjoyed.?The Ladies received a gift from our sponsors which was a product from Jimmy Jams.
We were entertained by Terry Pilkadaris a leading Pro, introduced by Harold who spoke about his life and experiences he enjoys whilst traveling the world as a professional golfer.?
To conclude the formalities Jeff Stevens presented the Club awards and announced George Weaver as the Vets Club Champion for 2022.
For the first time we used our web-site to draw the winners of the door prizes.?Keysborough provided a screen and projector so all members could see the winners in real time.?Ray Desmond did the honours and the prizes were won as follows:
