The members were welcomed back to participate in the Vets tournament at Cranbourne as Government and CoVID regulations forced the cancellation of several of our proposed courses.
The fairways were in magnificent condition considering the weather of late but the bunkers proved to be a BIG hazard.
Our starters Peter, Phil, Harold and Roger had the field ready for the shotgun start prepared by Captain Jeff with the golfers providing their double vaxxed information - which is now a requirement by ALL host golf clubs.
We had 52 who enjoyed the great weather conditions, whilst there were 20 apologies for the day. It was great to see some old faces back on the fairways, namely Gary Finnis, Ray Underwood and John Field.
Our thoughts are with all members with ongoing health issues.
Members, now that regulations have changed please remember to support our Club sponsors- The House of Golf and Thorne Window Cleaning. We are proud to announce a NEW sponsor through David Heraud which is Jimmy's Jam Products for which we are extremely grateful. Members can purchase a 3 jar pack for $20 through him at our events.

The greatest invention
An engineer, a physicist, a mathematician, and a mystic were asked to name the greatest invention of all times.
The engineer chose fire, which gave humanity power over matter.
The physicist chose the wheel, which gave humanity the power over space.
The mathematician chose the alphabet, which gave humanity power over symbols.
The mystic chose the thermos bottle.
"Why a thermos bottle?" the others asked.
"Because the thermos keeps hot liquids hot in winter and cold liquids cold in summer.
"Yes -- so what?"
"Think about it." said the mystic reverently. "That little bottle -- how does it know which temperature is needed?"
