We're off to a great start to our Vets 2021 season with a great turnout to Keysborough Golf course with 74 members facing the challenge trying to win the Bill Fitzsimmons trophy.
To be able hold our Presentation formalities within the clubhouse completed the day.
The start of 2020 saw the East coast of OZ engulfed with bush fires, then the Covid-19 hit our shores changing all our lifestyles with lock downs, social distancing, wearing masks and border closures.
Several of our members have battled health problems throughout the year and lets hope 2021 is a better year.
Tributes were given to members we lost during 2020 - Hugh Churchward, John Currie and Stan Odachowski.
We had 5 guests who were introduced by members and have decided to join the Vets club, namely Yvonne Daniel, Valerie Purves, Colin Holmes, Geoff Milne and Pat Ryan. Welcome and enjoy the friendship as we play some of the best courses Southeast of Melbourne.
Congrats go to Jeff Stevens and Phil Horsburgh for their win of the VVGA B Grade 4BBB tournament in Colac in March 2020 with a nett score of 62.
Our next game will be at the Rossdale course on Monday the 8th of February with a tee time of 8.40am. On the completion of the round the CoM will conduct the Vic Vets AGM for 2021. Please register to play and those who require a cart make sure you conduct Rossdale to book a cart for the day.
It is very important that all members attend this vital meeting as we have proposed changes to our format going forward in implementing a two tier course fee structure to maintain our Veteran golf club of Victoria as a major club within the VVGA program.
Nomination forms for committee or proxy forms have been emailed to all members or are available on the web site, and lastly by contacting the secretary - Jeff Taylor.

Needing money, an impecunious thief in Paris found he could steal some paintings from the Louvre.
He got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van. However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.
When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, "Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings."
I had no Monet
To buy Degas
To make the Van Gogh.
See if you have De Gaulle to send this on to someone else.
I sent it to you because I figured I had nothing Toulouse..
